  Fishing is an increasingly popular sport on Bequia, with marlin, kingfish, tuna, and barracuda amongst the most readily available - often just with a line and lure. Part of the fun of going on a day charter is the prospect of catching your own dinner! Spearfishing is NOT permitted. WATERSPORTS

  With the Trade Winds providing almost year-round breezes, and brisk winds in the winter, Bequia offers great conditions for windsurfers. In the calm beach shallows on the leeward side, kayaking is also a popular pastime. 

  Windsurfers and kayaks are available for rent from several outlets, and lessons can also be arranged. Ask at your hotel or guest house. 

  Tennis courts are available at the Frangipani, Gingerbread, Friendship Bay Hotel. Courts can be hired by non-residents of the hotels for a small fee, (and subject to availability) and equipment can also usually be rented.
